Spencer Gulf Adventures has been running marine wildlife tours out of Whyalla for over 25 years, and there's a reason they're the region's most awarded operator. Every winter between May and August, thousands of these extraordinary creatures gather in the shallows in one of the most remarkable wildlife events on the planet. Spencer Gulf Adventures puts you directly above them on a glass-bottom boat, close enough to watch the colour displays, the courtship, and the sheer spectacle of it. All encounters are conducted legally and respectfully under a wildlife permit that very few operators hold. Year-round, the team runs dolphin and seal tours and harbour cruises through the Spencer Gulf. Whyalla's dolphins are permanent residents of the marina, and the permit allows encounters that most wildlife tours simply cannot offer.
